Ciri-Ciri

Anthocerotopsida (lumut tanduk) memiliki ciri-ciri sebagai berikut :

a)      Generasi gametofit berupa talus dengan tepi rata atau bertoreh.

b)      Sporofit tertancap di dalam gametofit, tetapi kapsul sporofit berada di luar talus berbentuk seperti  tanduk (horn) sehingga disebut lumut tanduk.

c)      Pangkal kapsul sporofit dilindungi oleh involukrum.

d) Sel-sel tubuhnya mempunyai kloropas tunggal yang berukuran besar.
